Members of the class of '70 commemorated their gift of an inscribed granite bench to Monadnock Regional High School on Friday, September 24 at a Huskies varsity football team game in Swanzey Center. During the beautiful evening, classmates reconnected, caught up on one another’s lives and witnessed the home team’s shellacking of Interlakes/Moultonborough Academy.
During halftime, the gift, which is located near the sports field, was acknowledged by the public announcer who received a round of applause while expressing the school’s gratitude. Thanks to all who donated, making the gift possible, and to the group who was able to attend and present it to MRHS. Special thanks to the Reunion Committee for its efforts in raising the funds and arranging for its purchase and installation.
This video features school pictures accompanied to music. It is a tribute to the class of 1970 and contains photos of our classmates from 1959 up until our graduation. While many of these classmates moved away or didn’t graduate with one another, it is a moving, yet fun glimpse into our collective past.
