Obituary

William E. “Bill” Carson Jr. of Swanzey passed away Dec. 19, 2018, at the age of 67. Bill was born in Concord on Dec. 17, 1951, son of William Carson Sr. and Bertha (Clark) Carson.

Bill graduated from Monadnock Regional High School. He went on to receive his nursing degree and worked in health care at several local area nursing homes, hospitals and private in-home care. Bill was an avid horse lover who enjoyed showing his horses and was active in the 4H program. He was an active member in the planning of the Swanzey Old Home Day, and had been a former grand marshal of the parade. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially playing practical jokes on them.

Bill is survived by his siblings, Patricia Stone and her husband, Ralph, Wendy Clay, Ernest Carson and his wife, Mary, Randy Carson and his partner, Sharon; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Bill is preceded by his parents, William Sr. and Bertha Carson; and siblings, Cathryn Carson and Daniel Carson.

Services will be held at the First Congressional Church of Swanzey on Feb. 9 at 1 p.m.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill’s name to the Swanzey Old Home Day Committee at Swanzey Town Hall, P.O. Box 10009, Swanzey, NH 03446.
