Obituary
Randy L. Frazier 61 of Swanzey died on Friday, March 7, 2014, at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Mass. He died unexpectedly with his loving family by his side. He was dearly loved and will be missed by anyone fortunate enough to have known him. Randy was born the son of Peggy A. (Lane) and Alan P. Frazier on October 23, 1952 in Keene, NH. He was educated locally and graduated from Monadnock Regional High School class of 1970.
On June 2, 1990 he exchanged vows with Cindy M. Martin. They were married at the First Congregational Church in Swanzey with family and friends in attendance. They have been married for almost twenty four years.
He was employed by Michael Humphries Woodworking in Northfield, Mass., as a Master Cabinet Maker for over nine years. He was previously employed by Henry Architectural Woodworking, Bergeron Construction Co, King Cabinetry and family owned Frazier Furniture in addition to his own woodworking business. In the early 80s he was introduced to acoustic guitar making which opened his eyes to fine woodworking.
Randy enjoyed many things in life and he lived life to the fullest. He had many varied hobbies which included building and living in a tipi where he found peace and solace. He pedaled across the country, up and down the east coast and raced his bike up Mt. Washington. He was a private pilot and owned his own plane. He was an avid photographer, pottery maker, history buff, researcher of genealogy, gravestone carvers and cemeteries. He was to receive an award in June for his endless hours of research from The Association for Gravestone Studies that he was extremely proud of. He was a music enthusiast, an avid reader, a computer guru, a Red Sox fan and spent countless hours fishing with his friend/father in law in the wooden boat he built. He and his wife loved going on motorcycle rides, hiking with their dogs, going to concerts, snowshoeing and sharing many common interests. He was an awesome family man. His greatest joy was surrounding himself with family, preparing a feast for all to enjoy. He was especially notorious for his donuts. He was already planning next year’s 100th birthday celebration in memory of his beloved Gramma Lane.
