Obituary
Emil W. Koski Jr., 54, of North Winchester Street, West Swanzey, died Monday, March 7, 2005, at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene after a period of failing health.
He was born in Keene June 12, 1950, son of Emil and Gratia (Royea) Koski, and lived in this area all of his life. He was a graduate of Monadnock Regional High School in Swanzey.
He had been a machinist with Accura Technics and worked for Precitech, both in Keene.
He was a director of the Monadnock Regional High School band and helped with the choreography for the band and color guard. He also worked on the lighting of the Christmas concert at the high school for many years.
Survivors include a daughter, Sarah Anderson of Salinas Calif.; four sisters, Ellen Ghant of Claremont, Jo Forstrom of Charlestown, Linda McClening of Westmoreland and Elisabeth Koski of Unity; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his fiancee, Denise Brooks. Mr. Koski is also survived by two stepdaughters, Angella Joslyn of Swanzey and Janel Swanson of Richmond.
Services will be private. Spring burial will be in the family lot in Mountain View Cemetery in Troy.
There are no public calling hours.
The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, gifts be made in Mr. Koski’s memory to the Monadnock Regional High School Marching Band, attention Maxine Houle, 580 Old Homestead Highway, Swanzey 03446.
