Obituary

Dorothy J. (Thompson) Woodbury, 70, of Swanzey died Friday, Sept. 23, 2022, at Applewood Nursing Home in Winchester after a long illness.

She was born on Sept. 19, 1952, to Willard and Molly Thompson.

She was a 1970 graduate of Monadnock Regional High School in Swanzey. Dorothy (affectionately known as Dottie) married Leonard Woodbury, thus becoming the sister-in-law to fellow MRHS classmate, Donna Woodbury (now deceased), Dorothy was a homemaker and later worked at People’s Linen in Keene a number of years before retiring.

Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed the family cookouts and gatherings.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Deanna Howard and her husband, John; sister, Kathy Brown and her husband, Ed, of Rochester; brother, John Thompson and his wife, Linda, of Swanzey; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private graveside service will be held in Swanzey.
