Soon after graduating from college, I got a job as a newspaper reporter in the small farming town of Jerome, ID (think potatoes). I met Marsha at church in Jerome and we were married in the Salt Lake Temple a year later.

I always say my most valuable class in high school was typing. For some strange reason, I liked Latin class with Miss McCushing (she expected a lot out of us, which resulted in me taking high school more seriously). Mrs. Soucy encouraged me with my writing, which ultimately impacted my professional career as a writer and editor
I began my career as a newspaper reporter and editor. I was then hired by Brigham Young University-Idaho as the media spokesperson, and I later oversaw the performing arts series (mainly concerts) at BYU-Idaho.

. I wasn’t really a very good tenor saxophone player, but I always liked band. I loved marching band, playing Sousa marches in parades, and creating formations on the football field. I also enjoyed the overnight band exchange trips to Maine and Boston. Everyone in our class was very friendly to me. We were very blessed to grow up when and where we did, and I am grateful to all of you for your kindness and friendship.
